Portraits of Frankopan counts and countesses

Out of more than two hundred members of the Frankopan noble family, the faces of only 18 countesses and counts have been preserved in paintings and reliefs. With this exhibition, we wanted to bring you closer to their personalities.

A brief history of the noble Frankopan family

Although the name Frankopan only appeared in the 15th century, we come across the beginnings of the largest Croatian noble family on the island of Krk at the beginning of the 12th century.
